KickSTART

MKSU held kickSTART between 2 - 4 November at Mellieha.
A total of 26 students from different courses and faculties at University participated in this year's edition. The weekend kicked off (excuse the pun) with activities aimed at integrating the group, during which students had the opportunity to get to know one another.
A personal workshop encouraged all to think and reflect about a number of issues on an individual level, while another activity involved the discussion of inclusion and inter-cultural dialogue as illustrated in the film KINGDOM of HEAVEN. Human rights in our contemporary world were also a topic of discussion.
kickSTART also gave participants an insight into 'What is MKSU?' and what it's like for students to run a movement for students. A BBQ, night-hike and mass were also included as well a time for spiritual reflection every evening and morning.
The team at MKSU would like to say a big 'THANK-YOU' to everyone who came and made this year's kickSTART the success that it was.

October '07
Following last year's kickSTART, MKSU will once again be holding a live-in at Santa Marija Estate, Mellieha (just by the sea).
The live-in is aimed primarily for freshers and seeks to give them an introduction to MKSU as well as to University. During the live-in, apart from sessions relating to different themes, participants will also have the opportunity to get to know others during ice-breakers and mixers.
More information will soon follow regarding the theme as well as the programme of the live-in.
Dates: 2nd-4th November 2007
Price: Lm18 (€41.93) - includes accommodation, meals & drinks. This live in is smartcard refundable.
